To our International Supporters:
The Franciscan Action Network (FAN) welcomes the support and friendship of Franciscans and Franciscan-hearted people the world over. It is a testimony to the value and importance of the Franciscan charism that people everywhere are living and working according to the values and ideas of St. Francis and St. Clare. Our mission of organizing and advocating for social change by following in their footsteps is primarily focused on  U.S.-based government institutions and U.S. residents. Our values, however, observe no national boundaries.
Additionally, because our membership database presently requires that those who join FAN enter a U.S. Zip code (in order to be properly linked with their representatives in the U.S. Congress), it is not possible for non-U.S. residents who have no voting address inside the United States to properly register in our member database.
However, FAN is committed to ensuring that we maintain a vital link with our international friends and supporters. We welcome those outside of the United States who are interested in our mission to email us with your name, email address, country, and a little information about the "Franciscan connection" in your country. These connections will be vital to us as FAN seeks to have an impact on various foreign policy initiatives of the U.S. government. You may also use the same email if you want to communicate with FAN. We will also include you in our monthly e-newsletters so that you can be aware of FAN's ongoing activities.
We further encourage you to keep abreast of our partner, Franciscans International, a non-governmental organization at the United Nations.

A Note to U.S. ExPats:
Those U.S. citizens and permanent residents living outside the boundaries of the country but retaining a voting address within the United States can register as a member of FAN using our regular online registration form. Simply indicate your official voting address in the spaces indicated, and then enter your out-of-country mailing address in the mailing address spaces. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us using our web form.
