What is your connection to the Franciscan Family?
Secular Franciscan – 17 years
Member of Regional Executive Council, Mother Cabrini Region, Secular Franciscan Order, for14 years as Minister, Vice Minister. Councilor for Fraternal Life and currently JPICCouncilor since 2009
Currently Formation Director, St. Bernardine of Siena Fraternity (local fraternity); former officesheld include Minister, Vice Minister and Secretary

How have you been involved in justice, peace, and care for creation, and for how long?
In 2000, I was invited to become a member of the Social Concerns Commission of my parish.I was appointed Chair of the Commission shortly thereafter and held that position for the nextsix years. I remain a member of the Commission as a Member-at-Large and have worked invarious ministries under that Commission including the food pantry, PADS and DuPage United(a citizens organization).

Why did you join FAN?
When the possibility of FAN was announced in 2007, I thought it was a brilliant idea for theFranciscan Family to work together to promote justice, peace and integrity of creation in ourcountry and I’ve been involved since the beginning.

What are you working for in your area?
Promote FAN and other JPIC activities in the Mother Cabrini Region; write an article on JPICmatters every month for the Regional newsletter, SFO News. Looking for ways to broaden theaudience to promote JPIC and FAN.
